CloudFest 2023 Recap

The CloudFest 2023 at Europa-Park Rust recently came to an end and once again demonstrated impressively that the cloud industry is more vibrant and innovative than ever. In a time where digitalisation is advancing rapidly and cloud computing is becoming increasingly important, the event provided an ideal platform for experts, companies, and start-ups to showcase their latest developments, exchange ideas, and collaboratively create new solutions for the future. In our recap, we look back at the highlights and most exciting moments of CloudFest 2023.

The CloudFest 2023 was once again an impressive major event this year, bringing together experts and enthusiasts from the cloud industry. With over 8,000 participants from more than 80 countries, the event attracted a broad international audience and facilitated lively exchanges among various stakeholders. A diverse range of talks and presentations was made possible by over 250 speakers who shared their experiences and expertise with the attendees. Furthermore, over 150 partner companies contributed to the success of CloudFest by showcasing and discussing their latest products and solutions. The event at Europa-Park Rust thus provided an ideal opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaborations to tackle the challenges of the cloud industry together and develop innovative solutions for an increasingly interconnected and data-driven era.

In addition to the CloudFest Hackathons held prior to the main event, the numerous high-profile speakers such as digital activists Neil Harbisson and Yuliana Shemetovets, technology experts like Paul Vixie and Michael Widenius, and the evening CloudFest Social Event parties, this year we were particularly impressed by the Start-up Hub and the Rollercoaster Pitch Contest.

Start-up Hub

A standout feature of CloudFest 2023 was undoubtedly the Start-up Hub, where numerous young talents presented their innovative ideas. For visitors, this was an opportunity to gain valuable insights into customer acquisition, digitalisation, and business strategies through conversations with these interesting, up-and-coming personalities. The fresh perspectives of the start-ups can also help established companies rethink their strategies to be better prepared for the challenges of the digital future.

Rollercoaster Pitch Contest

Our absolute highlight was the new CloudFest Rollercoaster Pitch Contest. Here, the founders of promising young start-up companies presented their offerings from the front seat of the Silver Star rollercoaster at Europa-Park in Rust.
