The international industry gathering, CloudFest 2025, will take place from 17th to 20th March 2025 at Europa Park Rust. Following the success of last year's anniversary edition, this year's event also promises to enrich the cloud and internet infrastructure industry with new, forward-thinking innovations and exciting discussions. Experts and visionaries from around the world are looking forward to sharing their knowledge and setting new directions for the digital future.

In 2025, the theme is “The Human Edge: Finding Your Place in an AI World”. The focus is on how people can continue to make a difference in an era of Artificial Intelligence – not just through technology optimisation, but through empathy, service, and creativity. The CloudFest will share groundbreaking insights and strategies in the three central themes of Innovation with Empathy, Cybersecurity and Networks, and Service is Everything, helping businesses and professionals position themselves in the AI era and create genuine, human-centred connections.

For 2025, three outstanding figures from the tech and internet world have already been announced as highlight speakers: Roger Dingledine, co-founder of the Tor Project and a pioneer in cybersecurity, will shed light on the importance of privacy and security in the age of AI. Cory Doctorow, renowned author and digital rights activist, will bring his unique perspective on the societal impacts of technology and artificial intelligence. George Sadowsky, a stalwart in internet governance, will provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of global networking. Together, they will inspire the audience and encourage shaping the future of the cloud with humanity and innovation.

Another highlight of the speaker lineup promises a fascinating blend of technological pioneering spirit and unexpected surprises. Karlheinz Brandenburg, the inventor of the MP3 format, will discuss the evolution of digital audio technology and the role innovative codecs play in the cloud era. Dave Crocker, a leading expert in internet standards and Principal of Brandenburg InternetWorking, brings decades of experience in email protocols and network technologies. But perhaps the most unusual announcement is Albert Einstein – yes, that Albert Einstein. Announced as "Physicist/Lecturer/Ghost," his participation leaves room for speculation as to whether it is a tribute, an AI simulation, or an entirely new form of keynote. One can only wonder!

CloudFest 2025 will also kick off traditionally on Monday, 17th March, with a hackathon where top international developers and programmers will showcase their skills. On the evening of the same day, the first networking event, Come2Gather in the Streets Party, will take place. From Tuesday, 18th March, the three-day main event, the Cloud Fair, will commence. Evening social events will accompany the programme, including the Irish Party on Tuesday, 18th March, the ConneXion Party on Wednesday, 19th March, and the grand BierFest Closing Party on Thursday, 20th March.
