CloudFest 2024 Recap
The CloudFest 2024 at Europa-Park Rust once again confirmed the vitality and innovation of the cloud industry on the occasion of the event series' 20th anniversary. In an era of accelerated digitalisation where cloud computing is gaining increasing importance, the event served as the perfect stage for experts, companies, and start-ups to showcase their latest innovations, network, and develop forward-thinking solutions together. In our summary, we take a look at the highlights and most exciting moments of CloudFest 2024.
Once again this year, CloudFest 2024 proved to be an impressive major event that attracted professionals and enthusiasts from the cloud industry worldwide. With over 8,700 participants from more than 77 countries, the festival provided an excellent platform for international exchange and collaboration. Participants benefited from a wide range of talks and presentations, facilitated by over 250 speakers sharing their knowledge and experiences. More than 180 partner companies also contributed to the success of the festival by presenting and discussing their latest products and solutions. The event at Europa-Park Rust provided ideal conditions for networking, knowledge sharing, and establishing partnerships to help tackle the challenges of the cloud industry and develop innovative solutions for an increasingly interconnected and data-driven age.
Aside from the main program of CloudFest 2024, there were some exciting side events that not only brought laughter but also proved that cloud enthusiasts can do more than just type away. Leading up to the event, the traditional CloudFest Hackathon where bright minds came together to work on their latest developments, generated excitement. A brand new discipline, Server Throwing, attracted a lot of attention. Participants tested who could throw a Blade Server the farthest – a sport perfect for those whose server has crashed once again. Let's not forget the 20 brave souls who had to pitch their startup ideas while on a thrilling rollercoaster ride – who else can claim to have presented their business idea amidst loops and corkscrews? And as if that wasn't enough, four nights of live music ensured that all participants could unwind after a long day filled with technology and throwing competitions.
Of course, this year also saw the presence of some prominent German companies representing the local tech scene with pride. HostPress, Hetzner, Anexia, and Netcup were among the participants, bringing their expertise and latest innovations to the table. These companies not only contributed to the professional exchange but also showcased the diverse and dynamic nature of the German cloud industry.
Overall, CloudFest 2024 at Europa-Park Rust was a great success in line with its 20th anniversary, and we can look forward to future events of this industry gathering!
