CloudFest 2025 Recap

The CloudFest 2025 at Europa-Park Rust once again highlighted the international cloud and hosting industry, showcasing its innovation and dynamism. In a time where digital technologies are rapidly evolving and topics like Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity are gaining importance, the event provided an ideal platform for companies, developers, and industry insiders to present the latest developments, network, and collaborate on solutions for future challenges. In our recap, we take a look at the key highlights and most impressive moments of CloudFest 2025.
The CloudFest 2025 at Europa-Park Rust once again demonstrated why it is considered one of the most important industry events in the international cloud and hosting scene. Over 8,000 participants from around the world came together to discuss current trends, make new connections, and exchange ideas about the future of the industry. This year, the event offered an exciting combination of expertise, networking, and entertainment – this time under the theme “The Human Edge: Finding Your Place in an AI World”.
The conference impressed with a diverse mix of keynotes, panels, and workshops. Each day focused on a different theme – including “Boosting Profits”, “Innovation with Empathy”, and “Creating Solutions with a Human Touch”. High-profile speakers such as author and tech critic Cory Doctorow provided insights, including his talk on the gradual decline in quality of online platforms. The programme was complemented by creative formats like improvisation sessions, encouraging spontaneous and solution-oriented thinking. Artificial Intelligence was a central theme this year. Discussions covered current AI applications in the hosting environment as well as future potentials, especially in AI-assisted software development. While some – like Dainius Kavoliūnas from Hostinger Horizons – view today's AI applications as evolutionary steps, there was a clear interest in disruptive approaches: building web applications solely through voice commands could fundamentally transform the industry.
CloudFest 2025 was not just a place for structured meetings – spontaneous conversations in corridors, at booths, or at evening events also shaped the atmosphere. The event provided numerous opportunities to engage with a wide range of cloud and hosting experts, initiate collaborations, and explore new paths together. Apart from the conference programme, social events, rollercoaster rides at Europa-Park, and relaxed interactions rounded off the event experience. The spirit: work productively, engage in intense discussions – and celebrate together.
The personal exchanges with Yorizon, Groundbreaker, and Atarim were particularly enriching – inspiring conversations that not only opened up new perspectives but also provided valuable insights for future ideas.
Yorizon is a European provider of sustainable cloud computing and green IT solutions, rethinking the entire value chain of the cloud. In collaboration with HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions and Thomas-Krenn.AG, Yorizon combines efficiency- and sustainability-optimised data centres with powerful server hardware and its own hypervisor for digital sovereignty. Through this holistic approach, Yorizon offers companies tailored, secure, and environmentally friendly cloud solutions all under one roof.
Groundbreaker Talents is a scholarship programme that provides young women from financially disadvantaged communities in Uganda with a one-year, practical training in software development. During this time, the participants live on campus, fostering intensive and focused learning and preparing them for entry-level positions in the IT sector. The programme aims to improve access to education, promote financial independence, and increase diversity in the tech industry.
Atarim is a visual collaboration platform that aims to streamline the feedback and approval process for web projects. With Atarim, teams and clients can leave comments directly on live websites, simplifying communication and reducing misunderstandings. The platform offers features such as automated screenshots, centralised feedback management, and real-time notifications to make the design workflow more efficient.
In conclusion, CloudFest 2025 not only provided exciting insights into topics like AI and infrastructure, but also valuable contacts and new collaboration ideas. The conversations are sure to have a lasting impact beyond the event – and the anticipation for CloudFest 2026 is already palpable.
