16 categories: the selection becomes more international

For the Web host of the Year 2026 vote, there are a total of 16 different categories to choose from. This allows hosting providers to be assessed more precisely according to their individual specialisms.

An important change is the further international orientation of the vote. After separate categories for web hosts from Austria and Switzerland were already introduced, 2026 will see the addition of the Web hosts UK and Web hosts Spain categories for the first time.

This means the vote now takes the different hosting markets across Europe into account more strongly and allows users from additional countries to recognise their preferred providers.

How to vote for the Web host of the Year

Taking part in the vote is straightforward and only takes a few minutes:

• First select the category you want. You will then be shown all companies nominated in that category. Click on your personal favourite there.
• Rate the selected provider with stars to share your experience of the company.
• Enter your e-mail address and confirm your vote using the activation link you receive by e-mail. Only after this confirmation is your vote valid.

If you also want to take part in the prize draw, you must expressly agree to this. Participation in the vote itself is independent of that.

Your vote counts

By taking part you not only acknowledge the work of your preferred hosting provider. You also help other users to identify reliable companies and to find suitable offers for their own projects.

The results of the vote show which providers are able to convince their customers in practice. A range of different criteria can be decisive here: a stable technical infrastructure, fast loading times, competent support, an intuitive user interface or particularly good value for money.

Every confirmed vote counts towards the result and can determine which companies will receive the coveted Web Host of the Year title in 2026.
