The price displayed on the website is a monthly net amount. The total amount for the entire period, including applicable taxes, is only shown at checkout in the shopping cart. Hostinger offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. For VPS products, however, an additional waiting period of 180 days applies before a refund is possible.

Hostinger’s infrastructure relies on a modern combination of NVMe SSD storage and AMD-EPYC processors. The server base consists of HPE and DELL systems, which are distributed across multiple locations worldwide on four continents. The virtualisation platform used is the industry standard KVM, providing users with full control over the allocated hardware resources.

The number of available virtual CPU cores (vCores) depends on the selected plan, ranging from a single core in the entry-level package to eight vCores in the most powerful package. The RAM increases gradually from 4 GB in the entry-level plan to up to 32 GB in the largest package. Simultaneously, the NVMe SSD storage grows from 50 GB to 400 GB at the highest plan level. All plans are well equipped and offer – depending on the performance tier – a balanced ratio of memory and fast disk storage.

The fibre optic connection with up to 1,000 Mbit/s ensures high network performance, although – depending on the plan – a monthly traffic limit of between 4 and 32 TB applies. These generous volumes are practical for most uses but are more typical of the international standard and are somewhat unusual in Germany, where unlimited data volume is common.

Hostinger also demonstrates a strong stance on security: The VPS hosting is securely isolated from each other and protected by modern security mechanisms such as DDoS protection, an AI-powered firewall, and integrated server defence. Each VPS is supplied with a dedicated IP address, enabling individual firewall rules. The security concept is complemented by a malware scanner that can detect and remove malicious files.

As part of our Hostinger VPS hosting test (July 2025), we gained personal experience with Hostinger customer support. When requested, we were also transferred to a support agent who, after a brief wait, addressed our issue directly and resolved the problem quickly.

Conclusion on Costs

Hostinger impresses with a wide range of VPS hosting plans that can be flexibly adapted to different requirements and budgets. The specifications are consistently appropriate, and the overall value for money is solid. Both beginners and experienced users will find suitable options without having to pay for over-dimensioned resources. However, in direct comparison with other providers, it becomes apparent that prices, especially on the lower tiers, are noticeably above the market average. If – as in our test – you require at least two vCPU cores, you will need to opt for the KVM 2 plan. This comes with significantly higher costs but also offers considerably better specifications in terms of RAM and disk storage. The pricing structure at Hostinger is also relatively complex, as discounts and prices vary considerably depending on the chosen contract duration and renewal period.
