The Hosttest Awards are awarded quarterly and are divided into two main categories: the general TOP 10, which includes all providers based on customer reviews, and the specific TOP 10 for the Web Hosting category, which is exclusively based on reviews for web hosting services. In addition, the best provider is crowned quarterly as the Leader in the Web Hosting category. In addition, there is the "100% Uptime" seal, awarded to providers whose systems remained operational throughout the investigation period without any downtime. Furthermore, selected web hosting products are regularly evaluated based on detailed test reports and awarded a Test Result.

The awards are based on the reviews and recommendations that users leave on our platform. The corresponding awards are visible on the profile pages of the web hosting providers. We will explain the exact criteria for each award more precisely below.

The "TOP 10 Overall" award is given to providers who have received the most reviews on our platform in a quarter. These are then sorted by recommendation points (one recommendation point per review is possible) and awarded in this category. All reviews are taken into account, regardless of the specific services being reviewed.

This category focuses on the general services of a provider, such as customer friendliness, reliability, or technical support. It provides a comprehensive overview of the providers that have been most convincing in the overall assessment.

Award "TOP 10 in the Web Hosting Category"

The "TOP 10 in the Web Hosting Category" is a specific award that focuses exclusively on reviews specifically for web hosting services. We collect the TOP10 providers in the web hosting category each quarter who managed to receive the most reviews. These are then sorted by recommendation points (one recommendation point per review is possible) and awarded in this category.

Herewith, we would like to highlight providers who excel in this central area and whose customers are particularly satisfied with the quality of their web hosting solutions. This award helps potential customers identify providers who stand out in this area.

Award "Leader Category Web Hosting"

The "Leader Category Web Hosting" award is given to the provider who stands out in a quarter through exceptional performance in the field of web hosting and manages to collect the most recommendation points.

Award "100% Availability"

The "100% Availability" award is given to providers who have had no server outages during a 6-month investigation period. This is ensured by checking a URL provided by the provider, where the server's availability is accurately recorded.

This award demonstrates the technical reliability of a provider. Our availability test is only a sample, so its significance is limited; therefore, customers who rely on maximum stability and accessibility should always pay attention to the availability guaranteed in the provider's Server Level Agreement (SLA).

Review Award

In addition, our detailed test reports can also be used to comprehensively evaluate the overall performance of a web hosting product.
