To highlight the best providers in the market, we award selected web hosting providers each quarter. These awards are more than just a mark of quality: they reflect the satisfaction of actual customers and offer valuable decision-making support to potential new customers. What are the Hosttest awards?

The Hosttest awards are granted quarterly and are divided into two main categories: the general TOP 10, which includes all providers based on customer ratings, and the specific TOP 10 for the Web hosting category, which relies exclusively on ratings for web hosting services. In addition, each quarter the best provider is crowned as the Leader in the Web hosting category. Complementing these is the seal „100% Availability“, which is awarded to providers whose systems did not experience any outages during the review period. Furthermore, regularly selected web hosting products are evaluated based on detailed test reports and awarded a test result.

The awards are based on the ratings and recommendations left by users on our platform. The corresponding awards are visible on the profile pages of the web hosting providers. The exact criteria for each award are explained in more detail below.

Award "TOP 10 Overall"

The award “TOP 10 Overall” is given to the providers who received the most reviews on our platform in a quarter. These are then ranked by recommendation points (one recommendation point per review possible) and recognised in this category. All reviews are taken into account, regardless of which specific services were reviewed.

This category focuses on a provider's general performance, such as customer-friendliness, reliability and technical support. It provides a comprehensive overview of the providers that were most convincing overall.

Award "TOP 10 in the Web hosting category"

The “TOP 10 in the Web hosting category” is a specific award that focuses exclusively on reviews submitted specifically for web hosting services. Each quarter we compile the TOP 10 providers in the web hosting category that managed to receive the most reviews. These are then ranked by recommendation points (one recommendation point per review possible) and recognised in this category.

With this award we aim to highlight providers who perform particularly well in this central area and whose customers are especially satisfied with the quality of their web hosting solutions. This accolade helps potential customers identify providers that are outstanding in this field.

Award "Leader in the Web hosting category"

The award "Leader — Web hosting category" is presented to the provider who, within a quarter, stands out through exceptional performance in the field of web hosting and manages to collect the most recommendation points.

This award highlights a provider as an example for the industry and sets benchmarks for other providers. For customers, this award is a clear signal of outstanding quality and service in web hosting.

Award "100% Availability"

The "100% Availability" award is given to providers that show no server outages during the six-month review period. This is ensured by checking a URL provided by the provider, where server availability is precisely recorded.

This award demonstrates a provider's technical reliability. Our availability test, however, represents only a sample, so its significance is limited; therefore customers who depend on maximum stability and reachability should always pay attention to the availability guaranteed in the provider's Server-Level Agreement (SLA).

Test Report Award

In addition, our comprehensive test reports can be used to evaluate the overall performance of a web hosting product in depth.

Using predefined testing procedures, we regularly carry out detailed tests of selected web hosting products such as webspace packages and VPSs, in which we examine them more closely.
