Until version 3, xt:Commerce was available for free as open-source software and represented an independent development of the osCommerce software. Version 4 of xt:Commerce, named Veyton, is a completely new e-commerce solution offered in three different variants on the market. There is a free version available for beginners, a more comprehensive Professional version, and a Multishop variant. Optionally, monthly support contracts can be signed with the developer to receive assistance in operating the software. Additionally, the developer offers individual services, including the realization of custom e-commerce projects through template adjustments and shop extensions. xt:Commerce is now available in version 6.

Requirements for xt:Commerce Web Hosting

For running xt:Commerce, web hosting with PHP and MySQL is required. The best foundation is provided by a Unix system with Apache web server; for Windows systems with IIS web server, additional configuration is necessary. The recommended PHP memory limit is 64 MB, but extensive online shops with numerous extensions may require a higher setting. Additionally, several hundred MB of disk space should be available.
